NYLT is a very important training to Troop 23.  NYLT is required to be eligible for election to SPL because it give the SPL the tools that he will been to successfully lead and manage the troop.  The year we had 1 scout attend (James H.) and and another (Mike B.) Staff.  Gubby was invited to Staff NAYLE (National Advanced Youth Leader Experience; the next level course at Philmont Scout Ranch in NM.  Over the past years Troop 23 has sent 13 scouts to NYLT, 5 scouts have returned to Staff NYLT, 7 have attended NAYLE and 1 has staffed that program.
