Every year Abnaki District holds and Klondike Derby to get the boys out into the winter to have fun, challenge the winter, develop the boys in the patrol method.  In 2007, Troop 23 acquitted itself very well and had a great time in the process putting 4 full patrols on the ground and taking 4 firsts and 1 second in the 9 events.
