Pack 23 - Strafford, NH      
 

Providing a compass for life!



Pack 23 Serves Strafford, NH and the surrounding communities.  Chartered in 1984 by the 3rd Baptist Church of Strafford, NH it services youth from the 1st to 5th grades of all faiths.  1st Graders (Tiger Cub Scouts) meet monthly with Wolfs thru WEBELOS generally meet weekly on Thursday Nights, during the school year at the Christian Center.  The Christian Center is located at 30 Strafford Road in Strafford, NH.  In addition the Pack has monthly meetings where all the Dens get together and share and celebrate what they are working on and what they have accomplished.

Baden Powell, the founder of Scouting, defined Scouting as: "A game with a purpose".




Cub Scouts and the second step Boy Scouts is a progression with age appropriate development at each step of the way.  
 

Tigers (1st Graders) - Tigers are a Scout / Parent or Guardian Team that explorer the world around us and make connections to our community.
 

Wolfs and Bears (2nd and 3rd Graders) - Wolfs and Bears meet with Den Leaders who, with the help of parents and guardians, organize activities that

explore citizenship, health and safety, school, faith, family and a variety of  sports and activities.

WEBELOS (4th and 5th Graders) - WEBELOS is short for WE BE LOyal Scouts and WEBELOS Dens have activities that are organized by Adults, but the running of meetings and activities are shared in by the scouts and WEBELOS earn activity badges as they start to both learn about leadership and prepare to make the transition to Boy Scouts where the model is a Boy Run Troop.
