Abnaki District 2010 Hike-A-Thon
(for a little while)
Troop 23 has had a great time running the Hike-A-Thon for the past 3 year. We have set attendance and monies earned records with the help and support of the Districts Units and a HUGE thanks to everyone for their support.
However, It is now time to move on to other challenges (like Spring Camporee 2010) and we are VERY pleased to announce that Troop 198 is steeping up to take over the 2010 Hike-A-Thon!

This Year 75% of all Hike-A-Thon Proceeds go to the Units and 20% will be used for Abnaki District Camperships. So you can help yourself and others at the same time!

Registration will begin at 7:30 and hiking will commence at
8:00. There are 3 loops; the
Tiger/Wolf loop is 3.5 miles, The Bear/WEBELOS Loop is 5.5 miles and the Boy Scout /
Venture Crew Loop of 10 miles. Scouts are encouraged to hike in dens, crews and patrols.
Family and friends are welcome to hike along. There will be stations on
all loops to teach and test the scouts as they progress. There will be awards for
patrols and dens. Some changes have already been made to last years loop
and a new station plan is in the works.
LUNCH!! Boy Scouts and Venture Scouts should bring lunches, patrol cooking is encouraged. Cub Scouts and WEBELOS can have lunch provided courtesy of Abnaki District. Check here for the menu! :)

Participants in this years Hike-A-Thon will earn the DWC Hike-A-Thon Patch
