Blue Job Trail Work and Conservation

Description

The project I’m planning involves bridging three severely impacted and wet areas along the Blue Job hiking trail in Strafford, New Hampshire. A total of thirteen 12-foot sections of boardwalk will be built and placed over those sections of trail.

Who Will Benefit

There is more than one beneficiary of this project:

bullet

The New Hampshire Department of Resources and Economic Development (DRED) will benefit from the project by having motivated volunteers perform a trail management/ conservation project on three significant sections of eroded/at-risk trails.

bullet

These repairs will make the trail more accessible to cyclists and hikers.

bullet

They will also protect the surrounding vegetation from impact due to wide deviation around wet/flooded areas of trail.

Be Prepared... the meaning of the motto is that a scout must prepare himself by previous thinking out and practicing how to act on any accident or emergency so that he is never taken by surprise.
